Velocity Profiles at front of Flowmeter The abscissa x = 4.770 m is in front of the flow meter. Both velocity field UU and the velocity vectors are plotted at selected sections. Test case 2 (with flow rate of 340 tons/hour) shows a slight streamwise variation of velocity at the centerline, as evidenced by the colour map.
